Perfect oatmeal breakfast
In my opinion, the perfect breakfast is healthy, fast to make, has different textures, and keeps you full until lunchtime. This breakfast has oats as slow carbs, quark/yogurt as protein, nuts with healthy fats, and fruit for your daily intake of vitamins and minerals!
Ingredients
For 1 serving
- 20 grams of oats (I use ±1 full espresso cup)
- 1 tbsp of flaxseed and/or chia seeds
- 50 ml water or (plant-based) milk (±1,5 the amount of the oats)
- 1 tsp of 100% peanut butter or another nut butter
- 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
- 100 ml of quark or (plant-based) yogurt of your choice (I'm currently obsessed with Lindahls kvarg)
- 1 piece of fruit
- Optionally, some nuts, honey, or other toppings of your liking!
Directions
Mix the oats, the flaxseed and/or chia seeds, and water or milk together in a bowl. Microwave for 1,5-2 minutes. Make sure to check the first time if the mixture doesn't explode! If you have more time, you can also boil it in a saucepan on a stove in about 5-10 min.
Mix the nut butter and cinnamon with the oatmeal.
Top with quark or yogurt of your choice, and 1 piece of fruit. Optionally, add any other toppings that you like.
Enjoy!
